Before & After

In one of the last posts I talked about our gorgeous front yard...well I think it is only fair if we show you what our neighbors had to deal with for about 9 months. And the pretty much final product!

BEFORE...

AFTER...

Buy us some Peanuts & Cracker Jacks...

As part of Jonas' Father's Day gift we took the girls to their first baseball game. The sun was shining, the crowd was doing the wave (so was Hayden) and the Giant's beat the A's!

We were joined by the Hoversen's and Yergovich's and I think it is safe to say that a great time was had by all. Huge kudos to Jack Hoversen who made it all the way to the 6th innning before telling his mom & dad that it was really time to go home. Hayden & Taylor were up for staying to the end, but we ended up leaving at the top of the 9th. They loved watching all the people, hearing the music and chewing on Noel's singlasses. It was awesome. We look forward to many more games with the girls!

Pictures of the girls

We sent out a link with some recent pictures of the girls. I thought I would post it here just in case you did not see it. They are 9 months old and I can not believe that I have to start planning a 1st birthday party soon! Enjoy

This is tough...

So, I thought we would start a blog and it would be so easy to keep it up and have it be really fun. But, it is harder than I thought. Time is scarce with 2 little ones and a husband who is currently tearing off the roof of your house.

In all the wonderful craziness of the arrival of Hayden & Taylor, we have neglected to give updates on our house! Poor 3986 Rockingham Drive...totally the ugly step-child all of the sudden. Well, right before (and after) the girls came we finished the kitchen and had carpet installed in the family room and office. The ONLY room left to be done in the house is the dining room. We just have to put the finishing touches (crown, base & case) and then hang the chandelier. With most of the interior finished we turned our sights on the front yard. We heard our entire neighborhood sigh and say "finally!!' when we laid sod down this spring. And now we have a gorgeous front yard complete with dahlias, snap dragons and various other colorful plants. Not to mention a gorgeous Maple tree that was promised to have vibrant colors in the fall.

So, as summer arrives we are putting on a new roof, painting the exterior of the house and getting a new garage door. Then we are pretty much done!!! We can't wait. Maybe we will finally get to have a housewarming party 3 years, 2 kids and 1 dog later.
